For the past 13 years the Co-Presidents of Jhoslen Angels, Yisel Montes-Schickman and Barbara Pita have been involved in charity work helping the children and families of South Florida.

Through their efforts in 2021, their dream of opening a Non-Profit was made a reality, the question was: What to name the charity. During their years of charity work they were introduced to Marta Rios who was instrumental to the work they were doing by opening opportunities for their mission. Marta always commented that whatever the name we chose for our non-profit we should have “Angels” as part of the name since we had helped so many during this time.

Unfortunately, a couple of years after meeting Marta, she lost her young daughter, “Jhoslen”. It was during this time they learned that Jhoslen had the same giving spirit of her mother. As a tribute to Marta they chose to give the charity the name of Jhoslen Angels. In this way Jhoslen’s giving spirit continues through the work of many wonderful volunteers.

It is here that Jhsolen Angels was born.
We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to thrive, this is why the commitment of Jhoslen Angels to help those that need it, is stronger than ever!
